The Dahua DH-XVR1B08-I is an 8-channel WizSense Penta-brid XVR designed for surveillance systems that need flexible support for different camera technologies. It supports HDCVI, AHD, TVI, CVBS, and IP cameras, while Dahua WizSense AI features help identify people and vehicles and reduce irrelevant motion alerts.

8-Channel Penta-brid Support

The recorder provides 8 BNC analog camera inputs with support for HDCVI, AHD, TVI, and CVBS cameras.

It can also support up to 10 IP camera channels, with compatible IP cameras supporting resolutions of up to 6MP. The recorder provides up to 40 Mbps incoming bandwidth for IP video.

WizSense AI Human & Vehicle Detection

The DH-XVR1B08-I features SMD Plus, which uses intelligent filtering to help distinguish humans and vehicles from ordinary motion such as leaves, rain, or changing lighting conditions.

The standard specification lists 4-channel SMD Plus for the recorder.

AI Coding Technology

The recorder supports AI Coding, helping reduce storage and bandwidth requirements while retaining important details in recorded video.

It also supports Smart H.265+ and H.265 dual-stream compression, along with H.264+/H.264.

1080N / 720P Recording

For analog cameras, the recorder supports recording and encoding up to 1080N/720P, with the first channel supporting up to 25/30fps and the remaining channels supporting up to 15fps, depending on the selected format and resolution.

IP Camera Expansion

The XVR supports up to 10 IP camera inputs, with two IP channels available by default and additional IP channels available by converting analog channels to IP channels.

IP cameras can be connected using the recorder's network interface, providing flexibility when expanding an existing analog surveillance system with network cameras.

HDMI and VGA Video Output

The recorder provides both HDMI and VGA outputs, supporting display resolutions including 1920 × 1080, 1280 × 1024, and 1280 × 720.

This allows the surveillance system to be connected directly to a compatible monitor or TV.

HDD Storage up to 6TB

The standard DH-XVR1B08-I provides one SATA storage bay supporting a hard drive of up to 6TB, making it suitable for local surveillance recording.

Storage capacity and recording duration depend on camera resolution, bitrate, recording schedule, and other system settings.

Playback and Backup

The recorder supports general, motion, alarm, event, tag, and smart playback functions.

Recordings can be backed up through USB devices or over the network, providing convenient options for exporting important footage.

Two-Way Audio

The DH-XVR1B08-I supports two-way talk, allowing compatible audio equipment and cameras to be used for remote communication through the surveillance system.

ONVIF Compatibility
